Before you start this guide, make sure you have filled in the talent application and created your first service listing. Once your first listing is approved to the Kenzap marketplace, you can continue with this guide.
The purpose of this guide is to help you create the first template that relies on Kenzap Cloud Framework and publish it on Kenzap Marketplace to generate sales.
In case you want to learn more about the framework refer to the designers getting started guide.
1. Activate Designer Account
To create your first template, activate your designer account by clicking on the button below.
This step will grant you additional access to the Cloud Framework menu under your Kenzap Account.
2. Create Template
Under your account, navigate to Cloud Framework > Designers section, scroll to the bottom of the page and hit on the Create Template button as shown in the image below.
3. Access Template Dashboard
Once the template record is created, you can click on option > WP Credentials to access your WordPress dashboard.
The newly created template comes with various predefined layouts that act as a good starting point to build new layouts. The most popular layouts can be previewed in live on this website: https://core.as.kenzap.com/
Or you can use a search tool under this page: https://kenzap.cloud/extensions/
4. Explore Pre-built Layouts
To start customizing layouts, go to the Pages section. Chose any layout example and click on the edit link, or simply create a new page.
Click on the plus sign in the top left corner of your screen and search for the blocks by typing any keyword, for example, banner, cta, testimonials, contacts, gallery, timeline, roadmap, etc.
As a result this, will automatically filter all blocks according to your request. Hover any record to see block preview.
5. Publish First Page
Once the block is added to the page, you can adjust its style from the pane that is located on the right side.
Each block comes with its own unique set of parameters. As blocks are constantly updated with new features and settings, the best way to explore their full potential is by checking all panel controls one by one.
Add more blocks to the page to finalize its final feel and look. Once all changes are performed, click on Publish or Update button to preview changes on the website frontend.
In such a way you can add as many pages as you need to finalize your prebuilt template.
6. Template Review
When it comes to publishing your first template to the marketplace Kenzap Review Team will verify your template based on the following protocol.
- Design system – Spacings, colors, typography. Template should feature consistent design patterns across all pages and look aesthetically correct.
- Unique feel & look – Uniqueness of the designed template.
- Bugs & Flaws – Template should work without any flows, console errors.
- Responsiveness – Template should resize properly regardless the device screen size.
If the review team will find violations related to the review protocol as mentioned above you will have to update the template accordingly.
Once you think that your template is ready for production you can submit it to review by hitting the commit button available under Kenzap Account by clicking on option > commit.
