Cloud Framework – Step by Step Tutorial

Cloud Framework can run on any server optimized for WordPress. It is entirely free, open source and consists of hundreds of prebuilt blocks compatible with each other and intended to create powerful layouts in WordPress.

1. Set up Server Environment

Before you can start building WordPress websites under your local computer you need to set up a server environment. This can be achieved with the help of such software solutions as MAMP and XAMPP. The video below demonstrates MAMP server installation on OS X.

2. Install WordPress

Once the web development server environment is set up you can start with WordPress installation and setting up the MySQL database.

3. Install Cloud Framework

While you can install Cloud Framework to any WordPress website it will work best in headless mode. This means that the theme used should not load any additional styles, headers, or footers. The guide below will explain to install it properly under your server environment.
